Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get?

You will end up with a potentially Oscar award-winning speech *.

How do you work?

What we do first is to collect any starting speeches and/or notes that you may have. This is often be a good starting point for your final speech. I'll also send you a brief form for you to complete with some details about the groom, bride, family etc so we are both singing from the same page, and I don't have to ask banal questions.

I'll spend probably 1 to 2 hours working on your speech and 1 to 2 hours on the phone with you, up to a total of 3 hours work, which should be ample for what we need to do. We can use the telephone, Skype, Skype video, email and/or text message, whatever you are better and happier with.

What can we do on the phone?

As your speech develops, we will run-through it on the phone. This is really useful so I can hear how you are delivering it, and we can talk about timing, and what works and what doesn't. It's all pretty painless, and usually a bit of a laugh. It's also very very important to get some unbiased and constructive feedback on your speech - friends are all well and good, but often they'll praise you even if they think something is wrong.

What will I need?

You'll need:

  1. Access to a PC or Mac. I'll be sending the speech to you via Word document or a suitable equivalent.
  2. A telephone, or Skype. We'll need to talk.

* It'll be a great speech, but there's no actual guarantee that it will get past the folks who award the Oscars.

Mark, over the course of two days, sorted me out in ways I cannot begin to share. The speech was the most side-splitting, roaring success possible.Oliver D »

If you are in any way worried about your speech, and you can afford it, get Mark's service. To say you won't be disappointed is an understatement.Dan H »

This not only prepared me for the best man speech, but made me a good bit funnier in life. 11 out of 10 to him.Matt S »
